The hit from behind must be eliminated from hockey at all levels. This example happened in a recent game between Air Force @ Canisius (Atlantic Hockey - Division I)

Please, coaches, players and parents - the hit from behind is not only dangerous, it, as the above links show, can lead to serious injury. Eliminating this action from our game will take the actions of all of us to make sure it never happens in an MSHL game.
The MSHL will continue to monitor all checking from behind penalties. If necessary, the penalty can and will be increased.
Hockey is a wonderful sport. Let's keep it that way.
